ONE DAY TREKS

Real Wyoming Adventures provides 4 wheel drive treks exploring Wyoming's Red Desert and the southern Wind River Mountains. The area is rich in natural and human history and is famous for its abundance and diversity of wildlife. Wild Horses, Desert Elk, Pronghorn Antelope, Mule Deer, many predators and raptors call the Red Desert home. This part of Wyoming is also a great place to collect fossils and semi-precious stones such as jade and agates.

Native Americans inhabited the area for hundreds of years. Rock carvings and campsites are still evident, arrowheads are still found today. The mountain men lived, trapped beaver and held their annual rendezvous' here. Old homesteads tell their story about early settlers and the ruts of the Oregon, Mormon, California and Pony Express trails can still be seen and followed 150 years after the immigrants made them. In the 1860's gold was discovered and the rush was on. The hill sides are dotted with old mines and ghost towns. Weekend hobbyists and die hard prospectors still dig for the precious yellow metal today.

Everyone will be thrilled by the opportunities to photograph historic sites, wildlife and gorgeous scenery.

You can customize the day to your interests. We can touch on most of these sights during one long day or we can concentrate on the areas of your interest.

The day can be as long as you want it to be. We can pick you up early and stay out until sunset. Remember wildlife viewing is best early in the morning and late in the evening.

We provide great picnic lunches and beverages for our guests.

We use well maintained comfortable air conditioned 4 wheel drive vehicles for taking out our guests. Our vehicles can accommodate up to 5 adults very comfortably and up to 8 people if some are smaller children.

During the trip we will be doing a lot of fun off road travelling as we follow old trails searching for wild horses, elk and historic points of interest.

We can make arrangements to pick you up at the Riverton Regional Airport or at any of the lodging facilities in Lander or Riverton.

WESTERN WYOMNG TOURS

Real Wyoming Adventures also conducts all inclusive private tours of western Wyoming that includes Cody’s Buffalo Bill Historical Center, Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. As well as the off road adventures in the Wind River Mountains and the Red Desert. The tours range from 4 to 8 days and include all Ground transportation, lodging, meals, tips and attraction entrance fees. . We can meet you at Cody, Jackson or Riverton Airports and return you to the airport at the end of the tour. The cost of the tour depends on the number of guests and the itinerary that you choose.
